YEREVAN, DECEMBER 12, NOYAN TAPAN. The high economic growth
registered from year to year in Armenia still does not ensure a
great number of jobs, as, in particular, the mechanisms of
conducting the policy of youth's employment are weak. Economist
Anastas Aghazarian said this at the December 12 conference,
presenting the study conducted jointly by the Union of
Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia and the
Center for Independent Analyses, Productivity, and Competitive
Capacity Fund.
According to the study results, the youth is not
psychologically ready for quickly integrating into labor market
in conditions of market economy. And as A. Aghazarian mentioned,
the bureaucratic system, the limited financial resources and
credits hamper young specialists to promote entrepreneurial
activity. In his words, in spite of large-scale reforms
implemented, country's business atmosphere still needs to be
improved. The UMB(E)A has much to do in the respect of involving
the youth in business.
