YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, NOYAN TAPAN. The agreement on free trade between Armenia and Iran will be signed as a result of lasting negotiations, the RA minister of trade and economic development Nerses Yeritsian stated at the September 17 press conference. He reminded that Armenia is a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), while Iran is not. The problem is that this agreement will ensure equal conditions for businessmen of the two countries, at the same time not contradicting the WTO provisions. To recap, the intention to sign an agreement on free trade between Armenia and Iran was stated during the recent visit of the Iranian foreign minister to Armenia.
