YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, NOYAN TAPAN. Testing of the new system of state school-leaving exams of secondary education and entrance exams of institutions of higher education on the "Armenian Language, Literature" and "Chemistry" subjects at all the schools of three communities of Yerevan and the marz of Ararat showed that some technical changes will be carried out in organization of the exams. As Levon Mkrtchian, the RA Minister of Education and Science informed the Noyan Tapan correspondent, the order of checking the "Armenian Language" written exam will first of all be changed: answers of tests of the "A" and "B" levels will be checked only by computer. It was earlier envisaged that answers of tests of the "B" level will be checked by a commission formed of corresponding specialists. In the consequence of checking answers by computer the "composition" task will be taken out of the "B" level. In the Minister's words, tasks of the "A" level will get unloaded: as just those marks will be fixed in school-leaving certificates, so the tasks must be easy for school-leavers having middle level of knowledge. Changed final variants of tests were to be presented till November 20. Levon Mkrtchian mentioned that foreign experts arrived in Armenia also participate in testing of exams and analysis of results by the World Bank credit program.
