YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, NOYAN TAPAN. Karekin II Catholicos of All Armenian presented on October 18 the present relations and close cooperation between the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and Vatican, receiving Famiano Crucianelli, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, accompanied by Marco Clemente, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to the RA. As Noyan Tapan was informed by the Information Services of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Patriarch mentioned that, owing to that cooperation, four young monks study at present in different educational institutions of the Catholic Church. His Holiness mentioned with satisfaction that the relations between the two countries continuously develop and strengthen. On behalf of the Armenian people, His Holiness Patriarch expressed gratitude to the Italian authorities and people for the assistance shown in the affair of strengthening peace in the region. The people's social state, the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and relations of the Republic of Armenia with Turkey were also touched upon during the meeting.
