SHOUSHI, OCTOBER 6, NOYAN TAPAN. On October 4, the presentation of the "Revival of Shoushi" Fund took place in the town of Shoushi. It was stated at the presentation that the "Revival of Shoushi" Fund declares the start of the process of unification of the national material and spiritual potential for the reconstruction of the former glory of the town, its cultural and educational traditions." "Our Fund pursues the following aims: to remind of the glorious past of Shoushi, awake in people love for the town, the role and significance of which are inestimable in the Armenian history, unite the national potential for the reconstruction of the town", was claimed in the course of the Fund presentation. On the same day the sitting of the organization's Board of Trustees took place. Members of the Fund's Board of Trustees headed by its Chairman, Mayor of the city of Yerevan Yervand Zakharian as well as NKR Prime-Minister Anoushavan Daniyelian, members of the republic's Cabinet of Ministers and representatives of the leadership of the town of Shoushi took part in them. The "Revival of Shoushi" Fund created in spring of 2006 on the initiative of the Mayor of Yerevan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fund Yervand Zakharian is a non-governmental humanitarian organization. The Board of Trustees includes famous public and spiritual activists of Armenia, Arstakh and the Diaspora: Sos Sargssian, Levon Ananian, Flora Nakhshkarian, Zory Balayan, Bakur Karapetian, Archbishop Pargev Martirossian.
