AN ARMENIAN FAMILY RETURNS TO ARMENIA FROM GREAT BRITAIN BY
INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF MIGRATION PROGRAM

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, NOYAN TAPAN. The International
Organization of Migration implements a program of return
according to the agreement signed with the Great Britain within
the framework of which the families who voluntarily return from
Great Britain are given 2.5 thousand pound sterlings (nearly 4.3
thousand USD). As Hrachya Kadsoyan, the Head of the IOM's
Yerevan office, informed the Noyan Tapan correspondent, a family
has already returned to Armenia and 17 have expressed
willingness to return within the framework of the program.
IOM is an intergovernmental structure, to which 116 states
participate. The aim of the organization, founded in 1951, is to
secure the regular migration of refugees, displaced people and
other migrants in all over the world. IOM has assisted more than
12 mln migrants in different countries up to this day.
