MEGHRI, OCTOBER 15, NOYAN TAPAN. In Meghri unemployment exists only among women and there is no emigration from the city. There is an increase in the number of births: it has reached 70 instead of the 15 of the previous years. This information was provided to journalists by Misha Hovhannisian, the Mayor of Meghri, during the media tour organized in Meghri on October 11. At the same time the Mayor mentioned that the wine and jewelry factories of Meghri do not work, as for the tin factory, it uses only 8% of its capacities. That is why the stimulation of the purveyance process of fruits is considered to be very important. In the words of Misha Hovhannisian, there is a lack of specialists, including surgeons, in the hospital of Meghri. Contracts have been signed with 25 students of the Mkhitar Heratsi Medical University of Yerevan for the purpose of solving that problem. Those students have committed themselves to work in Meghri after graduating from the University.
