YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, NOYAN TAPAN. The main goal of the
Tekeyan Cultural Union is to unite the Armenians in the Diaspora
and draw them closer to the Armenian sources. This statement was
made by Haroutiun Arzumanian, the Chairman of the Tekeyan
Cultural Union of Canada and the United States of America, at
the press conference held on October 9 on the occasion of the
60th anniversary of the establishment of the Union. In his
words, the Union, at present, has its centers in 15 countries of
the world.
According to Haroutiun Arzumanian, the activities of the
Tekeyan Cultural Union have three directions: cultural,
educational, and publishing. In his words, the Tekeyan Cultural
Union implements its publishing activities in three languages:
Armenian, English, and French, for the purpose of making the
Armenian culture available for the Armenian young people in the
Diaspora.
