YEREVAN, OCTOBER 9, NOYAN TAPAN. The presentation of the
manual "Know and Act" published with the assistance of the OSCE
office in Yerevan took place on October 8. The aim of the manual
is to educate society and state officials concerning the
reduction of corruption risks. It includes practical information
on the functions, responsibilities and administrative procedures
of local self-government bodies, notary offices and other
institutions.
"The experience of our public receptions shows that in many
cases corruption is conditioned by the lack of information on
their rights and responsibilities, as well as corresponding
procedures among citizens and officials. The aim of this book is
to fill that lack," Mark Boyanich, the Acting Head of the OSCE
Office in Yerevan, mentioned when introducing the manual.
The manual was composed by the "Millenium" Association for
Education and Research based on the experience of the
anti-corruption public reception center operating in the city of
Martuni.
