YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. The members of the administration of the Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund (IHCF) and the Council on the Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states have arrived in Armenia for the purpose of taking part in the conference of the CIS and Baltic countries titled "Translation as an inter-penetration magnatic field of cultures", which is being held in Yerevan. According to the information provided to Noyan Tapan by the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA government, Serge Sargsian, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, received the delegation headed by Ms. Dzhahan Pollyeva, the Spokesperson of the President of the Russian Federation and the Head of the Council on the Humanitarian Cooperation, on October 3. Welcoming the initiative for holding a conference dedicated to humanitarian cooperation issues in Yerevan, the RA Prime Minister mentioned that the Armenian people having a rich cultural history have always displayed a special attitude towards scripts and literature, art and culture. That is the reason that Armenia is always ready to become involved in all the similar initiatives directed at the humanitarian cooperation. Serge Sargsian considered it symbolic that the current conference has coincided with the festival of Translation, which is traditionally celebrated in Armenia. The Prime Minister also mentioned that only great desire and will are necessary for the strengthening and development of humanitarian relations between states and peoples having spiritual-cultural generalities. Serge Sargsian stressed that everything possible should be done so as each measure directed at that purpose records a new step, new success, so as each measure becomes an event in the lives of peoples and states.
