DEVELOPMENT MEASURES OF YEREVAN PUSHKIN PARK ENVISAGED TO
BE FINISHED IN 2008 SEPTEMBER

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 19, NOYAN TAPAN. The Hayastan All
Armenian Fund plans to finish the development measures of
Yerevan Pushkin park in 2008 September. As Noyan Tapan
correspondent was informed by Vahe Aghabekiants, Fund's
Executive Director, the program is financed by Albert
Boghossian, one of the heads of the Robert Boghossian and Sons
Foundation, a member of Fund's Board of Trustees, who has given
600 thousand USD to that project.
According to V. Aghabekiants, the author of park's
development project is Swiss Pierre Rambach, who is specialized
in parks rehabilitation projects and has a rich experience. It
was mentioned that the park having an area of 16.3 thousand
square meters has not been rehabilitated since the 1990-s.
Swimming pools, an amphitheater, a cafe, a children's swimming
pool will be built in the park. V. Aghabekiants assured that in
difference to other Yerevan parks, this park will not have a
great number of cafes, private entities. According to him, it is
envisaged to cut off 60 dry trees within the framework of the
development measures.
