YEREVAN, JUNE 21, NOYAN TAPAN. Greta Khndzrian (48kg, Gyumri) was awarded with a silver medal in the 8th European Weightlifting Championship of Disabled People held in the city of Kavala in Greece on June 10-15. In addition to this she has won a pass to take part in the Beijing-2008 Para-Olympic Games. On June 20 Armen Grigorian, the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, handed the sportswoman a valuable prize, and Samvel Khachatrian, the Head of the Weightlifting Republican Federation, gave her a cash prize. Greta Khndzrian thanked them for their appreciation and promised to return home from Beijing with a medal.
