YEREVAN, JUNE 15, NOYAN TAPAN. Vem, Impulse, Ardzagank, Radio Hay, FM-105.5 and City FM radio companies dispute in RA Cassation Court the Armenian government's decision of July 6, 2006, under which the right to determine and set the annual amount of broadcast payment was reserved for the RA ministry of transport and communication. Legal advisor to Internews NGO Olga Safarian stated this at the June 15 press conference. The above mentioned radio companies in February 2007 appealed to the RA Economic Court, asking to recognize the indicated decision as invalid. In the words of O. Safarian, the RA Economic Court's decision to dismiss the request of the radio companies was made with violation of material right norms. "The court misinterpreted the laws and legal acts it was guided by when making the decision," she noted.
