YEREVAN, JUNE 11, NOYAN TAPAN. The main goal of holding
exams by united system is reduction of corruption risks and
creation of equal conditions for all entrants. RA Deputy
Minister of Education and Science Bagrat Yesayan reported at the
June 7 press conference. "In the previous years rumors went that
"elitist faculties" are in advance closed for ordinary entrants,
which was done at the expense of getting high marks in Armenian
Language, while it will be excluded this year," the Deputy
Minister of Education and Science said assuring that this year
competition will be much less at these faculties. "The leavers
who got even 15 in Armenian Language exam can apply to the very
faculties," B. Yesayan said.
The Deputy Minister also reported that activities aimed at
reduction of corruption will be done inside universities, too.
"The specialists, who gain profits by taking bribes from
students during current exams, will feel in a short time that
they are not wanted in that educational system, too," B. Yesayan
said.
