YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, NOYAN TAPAN. The first issue of the "Armyanksy Gumanitarniy Vestnik" (Armenian Humanitarian Herald) magazine was recently published. As Areg Bayandur, the editor-in-chief of the magazine informed the Noyan Tapan correspondent, this is the first scientific periodical publication in the Russian language, dedicated to Armenology. In his words, it is called to continue the tradition of publication of Armenological magazines out of borders of Armenia. The magazine which will be published twice a year, is envisaged not only for specialists. According to the authors' intention, different directions of modern Armenology as well as materials in mixed directions of the humanities will be presented there to wide circles of readers. Articles on linguistics, historical science, philology, ethnography, folklore are published in the first issue of "Vestnik." Famous scientists of Armenia and Russia are among the authors. The magazine, with 1000 copies print run is published in Stepanakert, spread in Russia and Armenia. In A.Bayandur's words, the print run of the first issue was sold in a short time. Such a popularity of the periodical was unexpected even for its authors.
