YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, NOYAN TAPAN. Anahit Topchian, an
actress living in Paris, will perform in Yerevan in
Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt's drama "Small Marital Crimes." As the
actress mentioned at the October 9 press conference, the
performance producer is Vahe Shahverdian, the artistic head of
the G.Sundukian National Academic Theater, and the partner is
Ashot Adamian, an actor of the same theater.
The actress mentioned that the disorderly situation in
relations of a marital pair is in basis of the performance plot
being staged within the framework of the days of France in
Armenia. The husband, who has lost the memory, attempts to find
himself after a 15-day absence with the help of what the wife
tells as well as of memories.
In A.Topchian's words, she chose this work of E.Schmitt as
the latter is one of the most translated French writers: his
works were translated into 35 languages and are staged in 40
countries. The play will be performed in Yerevan with assistance
of the French Embassy to Armenia.
To recap, A.Topchian herself translated this work of
Schmitt into Armenian. She said that she envasiges to present
herself to the Yerevan spectators the next year with a series of
monoperformances entitled "My Mono."
