YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, NOYAN TAPAN. In January-August 2006, 118.1 billion drams was allocated from the RA state budget for the purchase of goods and services, which made up 54.7% of current expenditures of the state budget. The nine-month and annual programs of the government were fulfilled by 83% and 60.8% respectively. Expenditures on purchase of goods and services grew by 17.7% compared with the same period of 2005, which is mainly conditioned by an increase in allocations for education and health care. According to the RA Ministry of Finance and Economy, more than 50.7 billion drams was allocated from the state budget for capital expenditures in the indicated period, which ensured the execution of the nine-month and annual programs by 66.6% and 57.8% respectively. The capital expenditures of the RA state budget grew by 49.1% or 16.7 bln drams on January-August 2005 mostly due to an increase in allocations for education, housing, utilities, transport and communication. The amount of crediting from the RA state budget in January-August 2006 made 11.1 bln drams, the main portion of which (about 11 bln drams) was provided to the NKR. About 102.3 mln drams (about 270 thousand USD) was provided on concessional terms to repressed persons for house construction. 18.9 mln and 19.9 mln drams was spent to replenish the state share of the authorized capital of Shirak-Watercanal CJSC and Lori-Watercanal CJSC respectively. Out of the credits provided previously, 496.6 mln drams was repaid, about 174.4 mln drams of which was repaid by the Georgian government. As a result, net crediting made more than 10.6 bln drams, ensuring a 87.7% fulfilment of the nine-month program. Net crediting from the state budget increased by 22.7% or about 2 bln drams on the same period of last year, mainly conditioned by an increase of the interstate credit provided from the RA state budget to the NKR in 2006.
