RA PRESIDENT CONFERS HONORARY TITLES TO NUMBER OF
JOURNALISTS

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, NOYAN TAPAN. By the September 14
decree of RA President Robert Kocharian, a group of
representatives of the sphere of journalism were confered
honorary titles and medals on the occasion of the 15th
anniversary of declaring the independence of the Republic of
Armenia.
As Noyan Tapan was informed by the RA President's Press
Office, for long-term work in the sphere of journalism, the
honorary title of the Honoured Journalist of the Republic of
Armenia was confered to:
Hasan Makhmud TAMOYAN, the chief of the Armenian Public
Radio Company department of programs for Yezidis,
Gagik Alexander MKRTCHIAN, the editor-in-chief of the
"Hayots Ashkharh" (Armenian world) daily,
Martin Habet SHAHBAZIAN, the RA President's photographer,
Tigran Simon FARMANIAN, the editor-in-chief of the
"Hayastani Hanrapetutiun" (Republic of Armenia) daily,
Vanik Alexan SANTRAIN, a journalist of the "Armenpress"
news agency,
Kyaram Sayat CHOLOYAN, chief of the Armenian Public Radio
Company department of programs for Kurds.
Movses Khorenatsi medal was awarded to:
Artur Kamsar GRIGORIAN, the director of the "Haylur"
information service of the Public Television of Armenia,
Ara Vladimir TADEVOSIAN, the director of the "Mediamax"
information agency,
Naira Vazgen MANUCHAROVA, a journalist of the "Novoye
Vremya" (New Time) newspaper,
Marina Albert MKRTCHIAN, a journalist of the "Golos
Armenii" (Voice of Armenia) newspaper,
Karine Gurgen SARGSIAN, the editor-in-chief of the Armenian
Second Television.
Tigran Hovhannes Naghdalian, a journalist, the first
council chairman of the Public Television and Radio Company of
Armenia, was posthumously rewarded with the Movses Khorenatsi
medal.
By the RA President's September 12 decree, on the occasion
of the 15th anniversary of declaring independence of the
Republic of Armenia, the editorial staff of the "Golos Armenii"
newspaper was awarded letters of thanks for the many-year
effective work, considerable contribution in the affair of
covering the Armenian Genocide problem.
