YEREVAN, MAY 19, NOYAN TAPAN. Exams of pretenders to get a licence for attorney's activity will be held in Armenia in late August. It will for the first time be held by attorneys. As Yenok Azarian, the Qualification Commission Chairman of the RA Chamber of Lawyers and Kromvel Grigorian, a commission member, mentioned at the May 18 press-conference comvened at the "Pakagits" club, the deadline for accepting applications was May 15. 382 applications were accepted. The exams' day will be appointed after studying the presented documents. The Armenian Advocates' Association shows financial assistance for holding the exams. According to K.Grigorian, observers' entry is free during the exams, those who want must simply address to the Chamber of Lawyers and get an observer's status. 483 attorneys having a licence act in Armenia at present. Y.Azarian expressed sorrow that today there are factually no possibilities to set free the bar field from unscrupulous specialists: the licence is given termless, its activity may be stopped if 3 disciplinary actions are brought against the attorney during a year. Y.Azarian mentioned as a way out comleting of the sphere by new, qualified and worthy specialists.
