ARTUR OSIKIAN INVOLVED IN STAFF OF MONITORING COMMITTEE ON
IMPLEMENTING ANTI-CORRUPTION STRATEGY

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. Bagrat Yesayan, the
Chairman of the Monitoring Committee on Implementing
Anti-Corruption Strategy presented the committee decision at the
February 10 sitting of the RA Council on Anti-Corruption
Struggle which was presided by Council Chairman, Prime Minister
Andranik Margarian. Artur Osikian appointed the RA delegation
head at the GRECO on the occasion of RA delegation head Ashot
Galoyan's being appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the RA to the Republic of Poland, was
involved in the monitoring committee staff.
As Noyan Tapan was informed by the RA Government's
Information and Public Relations Department, the Council
discussed at the sitting the draft report presented as a result
of summing up first and second stages of estimation implemented
during the working visit paid to Armenia by the GRECO estimating
group from May 30 to June 4, 2005. According to reporter Artur
Osikian, the draft is envisaged to discuss and adopt during the
GRECO plenary sitting to take place in March.
The Council listened to and took into account the report of
Hovhannes Manukian, the Chairman of the RA Court of Cassations,
about the RA Government's Anti-Corrution Strategy concerning the
sphere of activity of the RA Court of Cassations and program of
implementation of the strategy as well as about the process of
implementing obligations undertaken by the RA in the sphere of
activity of that body according to international conventions and
agreements.
