CONTROLS TO BE HELD IN TRADE AND SERVICE UNITS FROM
FEBRUARY 1

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, NOYAN TAPAN. Controls will be held in
trade and service units of Yerevan from February 1 by the RA
Ministries of Trade and Economic Development, Agriculture,
Health Care as well as by corresponding departments of
municipalities. Karen Gevorgian, the Chief of the Trade and
Services Department of the Yerevan Mayor's Office informed about
this at January 23 press conference. According to him, the main
goal of controls is to find out those units' implementation of
demands of the RA law "On Trade and Services" which came into
force from January 1. K.Gevorgian didn't exclude that some
decisions made by the RA Government concerning street trade will
be recognized invalid.
By the Yerevan Mayor's decision, all trade and service
pavilions and stalls of the capital will be registered in
2006-2007. According to K.Gevorgian, those works will assist
regulation of street trade. It was mentioned that those stalls
which don't correspond norms of city building will be
dismantled.
