By RA President Robert Kocharian's December 26 decree, writer-publicist Zori Balayan was confired title of the RA Honoured Cultural Figure for the considerable contribution in the sphere of literature and publicism, and film director Nerses Hovhannisian was confired the honorary title of the RA People's Artist for the exclusive contribution in development of cinematographic art. As Noyan Tapan was informed by the RA President's Press Office, playwrite Richard Kalinoski was awarded the Movses Khorenatsi medal.
