YEREVAN, DECEMBER 23, NOYAN TAPAN. Manka Ltd - the only company manufacturing soft toys in Armenia - currently produces about 60 types of toys. Varuzhan Gyurjian, director of the company, told NT correspondent that the whole assortment of production does not go on sale at once, which makes it possible to refresh the assortment of sold toys from time to time. Manka Ltd has operated since 1998, while its toy workshop was set up in 2000. The raw materials are imported from CIS countries. The whole production is sold in Yerevan in 3 specialized shops owned by the company. According to V. Gyurjian, "on the whole, the toy business is not very profitable." He noted that the best financial and labor opportunities of the company are mainly in December - on the occasion of New Year's Eve. This year Manka Ltd. is preparing New Year surprises. "We give presents to the children who visit the company's shops during this period, as well as send gifts to orphanages and kindergartens," the company manager Marine Sharian said.
