YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, NOYAN TAPAN. RA Government's Department of Credit and Philanthropic Assistance Programs recommended the "Diaconia" charity organization and the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR) for the title of "The Honorable Benefactor of the Year." As Noyan Tapan's correspondent was informed by Simon Ter-Simonian, Head of the Department, this proposal was submitted for the discussion of departments of the spheres where the above-mentioned two organizations have implemented programs. After being approved by the departments the proposal will be submitted for RA President's approval. S.Ter-Simonian mentioned building of the "Huysi Avan" on Ashtarak highway among programs implemented by "Diaconia" and construction of the "Center for Admission and Orientation of Vagrant Children" among those implemented by FAR. According to S.Ter-Simonian, the title of "The Honorable Benefactor of the Year" was set up for the purpose of encouraging beneficence, in accordance with RA law "On Beneficence" adopted in 2002.
