YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. Armenian-Italian Cultural Days will start on October 5 within the framework of which a number of most important events will take place. Hamlet Gasparian, the RA Foreign Ministry's Press Secretary stated about this at the September 27 meeting with journalists. According to him, an exhibition of treasures of the Island of Surb Ghazar (San Lazzaro) of Venice has a particular place among the most important events and its solemn opening will take place on October 5 at the National Gallery of Armenia. A conference "Venice Readings" dedicated to the Armenian-Italian cultural and scientific ties will take place within the framework of the Armenian-Italian Cultural Days. A number of other exhibitions, concerts, meetings, including ones with representatives of the Italian Armenian community are envisaged within the framework of the cultural days which will last a month. 300 Italian businessmen will arrive in Armenia, holding of the Armenian-Italian business forum is envisaged.
