YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 2, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The importance of organizing the jubilee events dedicated to the 1600th anniversary of the invention of the Armenian letters at high level, including their proper covering by media as well, was emphasized at the September 1 sitting of the Jubilee Commission which was chaired by RA Prime Minister Andranik Margarian, the Chairman of the Commission. As Noyan Tapan was informed by the RA Government's Information and Public Relations Department, the process of implementation of the instructions of the previous sitting was discussed. It was mentioned that the organization works are going on corresponding to the program of jubilee events, a number of events has already been fulfilled within the fixed term. Particularly, scientific-cultural events dedicated to Amaras school and the 1600th anniversary of the invention of the Mesropian letters were held in Artsakh on June 2-4, a flowery park picturing the Armenian book and letters was founded in Yerevan, a republican festival of recitation took place, a map "Mesrop Mashtots' Activity in Armenia" was formed and published, etc. It was mentioned that a number of events, corresponding to the time-table of the program, are still in process.
