SYSTEM OF COMPETITIVE EDUCATION INTRODUCED INTO
INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION OF ARMENIA THIS YEAR

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 1, NOYAN TAPAN. More than 11 thousand of
students will be in the first year of institutions of higher
education of Armenia in the new academic year. 3309 of students
will study at free, 5603 at paid places. As Sergo Yeritsian, the
RA Minister of Education and Science mentioned at the August 31
press-conference, the system of competitive education is
introduced into the institutions of higher education of Armenia
this year. According to it, students entered free education
places this year will be given opportunity to keep the right of
free education till the end of the year. In the case, if those
students study badly, they will lose the right of free education
and study at paid places. And students studying at the paid
system and, as a result of two examination sessions, doing well
will be moved to free education system.
It was also mentioned that this educational innovation will
not influence on children of perished freedom fighters, invalid
and both parentless students as well as on students without
right of delay.
