YEREVAN, APRIL 6, NOYAN TAPAN. Frenchman Bernar Kazoni,
chief coach of Armenian national football team, was relieved of
his post. Ruben Hayrapetian, President of the Football
Federation of Armenia, declared at the April 5 press conference
that the coaches of the national team will be replaced until a
normal team is formed.
R.Hayrapetian mentioned that the main discontent of the
Football Federation and football-players themselves was caused
by the coach's strange selection of players who practically
aren't ready for playing in the national team. The President of
the Football Federation of Armenia said that the name of the new
coach of the team will become known during the nearest 10 days.
According to R.Hayrapetian, this will be a professionally
prepared specialist and a foreigner. "Armenia gave many
distinguished football-players to the world but at present we
have no qualified coach," he mentioned.
Bernar Kazoni has held the post of the chief coach of
Armenian national football team since August 2004. In this
period the national team lost 5 out of 7 matches, drew 1 match
and won only 1 game in the selection tournament of 2005
championship.
