YEREVAN, January 25 (Noyan Tapan). The draft program of arrangements foreseen within the framework of the Year of Armenia to be held in France in 2006-2007 was discussed during the sitting of the State Commission on Coordination of the Year's Spade Work. It was mentioned that the Year of Armenia will start in September 2006 and will continue till July 2007. Great number of celebrations, cultural arrangements will be held In Yerevan, Paris and 15 other cities of France, including Armenian artistic, architectural, photo exhibitions, concerts, the show of ancient Armenian manuscripts and books, lections devoted to the Armenian Studies, the present, the history and culture of the Armenian people will be organized at the best museums, concert halls of France, as well as materials regarding Armenia will be published in the French press, TV programs will be shown via the main TV channels during this period. One of the main arrangements will be held in Louvers, the famous Parisian museum, in February 2006. The exhibition of the Armenian culture entitled "Christian Armenia" will be opened in Richelieu Gallery, the biggest gallery of Louvers. Stressing the importance of the holding of arrangements connected with the Year of Armenia (which will be held in France under the patronage of the Presidents of both of the countries for the first time) at the highest levels, RA Prime Minister Andranik Margarian, the Head of the Commission, noticed that it is not only the best evidence of the Armenian- French relations, Armenian-French friendship, but also another best opportunity to present Armenia, its present and history, its natural and cultural values to Europe and the world through France. According to the RA government's Information and Public Relations Department, the RA Prime Minister instructed, in accordance with the submitted draft program on the arrangements, to form task forces for the elaboration of suggestions and for submission them to the commission for discussion within a month.
