YEREVAN "PYUNIK" TO PARTICIPATE IN "COOPERATION CUP"

YEREVAN, December 20 (Noyan Tapan). The regular draw of
the "Cooperation Cup" tournament has been held. Champions of the
former USSR countries, as well as the national team of juniors
of Russia will participate in the tournament to be held in
Moscow on January 15-23. By four teams are involved in the first
and second groups and by three teams - in the third and fourth
groups.
The Armenian champion "Pyunik" (Yerevan) is involved in the
third group, where the Latvian champion "Sconto" and the Tajik
champion "Regar Tadaz" teams will be its rivals. The tournaments
in the groups will be held on January 15, 16 and 18. The
winners of the groups will compete in the quarter-final on
January 19. Two teams - Russian champion "Lokomotiv" and the
Ukrainian champion "Dinamo" - will join the two winners of this
round in the semi-final. Two matches of the semi-final will be
held on January 23.
