YEREVAN, November 24 (Noyan Tapan). The competitions of student football teams dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Soviet goal-keeper Lev Yashin were held with the support of the Embassy of Russia in Armenia. The competitions organized by the "Slavonic House" public organization and the Russian-Armenian Youth Union were held with the participation of the Russian-Armenian Business Magazine and the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University at the "Dinamo" stadium in Yerevan. Nine teams of higher schools of Yerevan and Stepanakert participated in the competition. The Yerevan State University team, which was awarded with Lev Yashin's cup, placed first. Awards were also given to separate distinguished football-players, and all the teams-participants received honorable diplomas. Igor Gromyko, Envoy of the Embassy of Russia to Armenia, was among the prize holders. The latter said that the organizers are going to make the competitions of Lev Yashin's memory traditional.
