YEREVAN, August 2 (Noyan Tapan). Three Armenian football teams that participated in the UEFA Cup Tournament were defeated. They dropped out of struggle from the first qualifying round. "Banants" of Yerevan again was defeated by the Ukrainian "Ilyichevets" team in its own field with a score of 0:2. The Moldovian "Tiraspol" team beat "Shirak" of Gyumri with a score of 2:0. Though "Mika" of Ashtarak completed the match with the Hungarian "Honved" team with a score of 1:1, according to the standings of the two matches, it also dropped out of the further struggle. So, three Armenian teams were defeated in five out of six matches of the UEFA Cup Tournament, and only one drew the match.
