YEREVAN, May 11 (Noyan Tapan). Issues of organization
character were discussed during the May 8 special sitting of the
World Committee of Pan-Armenian Games (WCPAG).
Roland Sharoyan, former RA Minister of Culture and Youth
Affairs, was elected acting Deputy Chairman of the World
Committee of Pan-Armenian Games. It should be mentioned that
Ashot Melik-Shahnazarian, who recently died, occupied this post.
As the Pan-Armenian Games will be held once four years
frorm now on, it was decided to organize competitions of popular
sport types in the period between the Games. Basketball
tournament will be held in 2005.
