DAYS OF RUSSIAN CULTURE HELD IN ARMENIA ON APRIL 26-30

YEREVAN, April 27 (Noyan Tapan). Days of Russian Culture
are being held in Armenia on April 26-30. They were
initiated by RA Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs and
the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communication of Russia. RA
Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Tamara Poghosian said
during the April 26 press conference that singers, Nadezhda
Babkina, people's artist of Russia, Yulya Nachalova, Alexander
Buynov, satirists Semyon Altov, Yefim Shifrin, the Vivaldi
orchestra, and Phonograph Zazz Band will participate
in the
gala concert at Karen Demirchian Sport and Concert Complex.
Russian films will be shown at the "Moscow" movie-house of
Yerevan, the "Igorki" theater will perform the "Behind Closed
Door" play with participation of Irina Alfyorova at the Russian
Dramatic Theater after K. Stanislavsky. An exhibition entitled
"On Hot Ground" of V. Sidorov, Chairman of the Artists' Union of
Russia will be opened at the Artists' Union of Armenia on April
28. The Ballet Theater of Classical Dance Art will perform the
"Cinderella" ballet at the Opera
and Ballet House on April 29.
Arrangements will also be organized in Gyumrri, Vanadzor
and Spitak within the framework of the Days of Russian Culture.
