YEREVAN, April 27 (Noyan Tapan). Armenian weight-lifters failed in the European Championship held in Kiev: they could occupy no prize places in any weight class. Hripsime Khurshudian, the only female weigh-lifter of the Armenian national team, occupied the highest place. Performing in 63-kg weight class, the young sporswoman showed 200-kg standing and placed sixth. And none of eight male representatives could successfully perform. Gevorg Alexanian turned to be the best Armenian weight-lifter, who in 77-kg weight class placed 8th.
