YEREVAN, April 9 (Noyan Tapan). The "Artfilm" picture
gallery will be hosting Charlie Chaplin's Marathon in Armenia on
April 16, the birthday of the prominent actor and film-maker of
the 20th century, Charlie Chaplin, held for the second time in
Armenia. Melik Karapetian, Director of the picture gallery, said
during the April 8 news conferece that 12 films shot in 1915-16
will be shown free of charge at the hall of the children's
library after Khnko Aper in day time, and the films "Baby,"
"Dog's Life" and "Karmen" can be seen at the "Nairi" cinema in
the evening. Some of the shown films have been shown in
movie-houses very rarely.
The marathon is sponsored by the US Embassy in Armenia and
the British Council.
