Peter Musurlian wins 2 Golden Mikes and interviews NBC's Tom Brokaw about Burbank

Veteran Broadcast Journalist Peter Musurlian won two Golden Mikes Saturday night, January 21, 2012 at the 62nd Annual Golden Mike Awards, organized by the RTNA, the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California. The event was held at the Universal City Hilton and was attended by hundreds of working radio and television journalists from media markets all around Southern California. Musurlian, who is the Station Manager & Senior Producer for The Burbank Channel, won for shooting and editing a feature story on the making of Burbank's Centennial Rose Float. He also wrote and narrated the piece. Since 2002, Musurlian has won 10 Golden Mikes, in seven different categories, including: documentary, serious reporting, business reporting, entertainment reporting, videography, editing, and producing the show Burbank Magazine, which he created in 1999.He's also be nominated for four Los Angeles Area Emmys. The big honorees at the event were NBC's Tom Brokaw, who was given the Broadcast Legend Award and KCRW's Warren Olney, who was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
