For the past 10 years, the Davitian and Mariamian Educational Institution of Glendale has been organizing Annual Appreciation and Homage Awards in several categories, including Man of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Organization of the Year and more. Today, the Davitian and Mariamian Educational Institution will hold its subsequent educational awards ceremony at the hall of the Iranian-Armenian Society in Glendale. The best award of Appreciation and Homage of 2011, that is, Best Organization, will go to the RA Ministry of Diaspora. This is what Chairman of the board of the Davitian and Mariamian Educational Institution Vahik Tsaturian announced during a teleconference organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Educational Institution on January 27. Vahik Tsaturian was recently awarded the Gold Medal of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, and Elmira Simonian and Hasmik Khachatrian were awarded certificates for their notable contributions to the preservation of the Armenian identity and to the sphere of education and discipline of the generation of young Armenians in the Diaspora.
