February 15, 2012, Yerevan, Armenia VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of “Mobile TeleSystems” OJSC, gladly announces the Union of Information Technology Enterprises and VivaCell-MTS provided robots to five educational institutions to organize group trainings, at the press conference devoted to school groups for robotics. The beneficiary educational institutions include Kvant College, Basic College of the State Engineering University, the Mkhitar Sebastatsi Education Complex, school N131 and the Ayb High School. “VivaCell-MTS extends hands to the UITE for encouraging the development of robotics in the country. Schoolchildren have been actively and fruitfully engaged in robotics. Today Armrobotics hosts school groups, successfully participating in the contest. This change is a result of opening robotics groups in schools,” said UITE executive director Karen Vardanyan. The UITE came up with the idea to open robotics groups in schools as early as in 2009, after number of parents inquired for places, where their school-aged children could learn making robots.
