GEORGIAN PRESIDENT PROMISED TO OPEN RAILWAY IN AKHALKALAKI SOON

TBILISI, OCTOBER 14, NOYAN TAPAN. Georgian President promised to open railway in Akhalkalaki which is a part of big railway project Baku-Kars-Tbilisi soon. "We visited Akhalkalaki today and viewed the work there," he said in Mtskheta addressing the representatives of diplomatic corps, head of MFA of Azerbaijan, lawmakers and government who gathered for the concert on the occasion of Svetitskhoveli in Mtskheta, , reported CAUCASUS PRESS. He particularly singled out Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mamedyarov and thanked him for coming to the concert on the occasion of Svetitskhoveli. This holiday is the symbol of appearance of Christianity in Georgia. "I want to greet our friend, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister who is visiting our country together with his family and shares our joy," Saakashvili added. "We are implementing this great project with the help of our Azerbaijani partners," he said.
