Residents of the North Caucasian political subjects - Chechnya, Dagestan, and Ingush republic, Kabardino-Balkaria, Adige, Karachay-Cherkessia and North Ossetia Republics of the Russian Federation will be able to visit Georgia without entry visas, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said. According to her, the inhabitants of these regions can stay in Georgia for 90 days without visas. "This decision is a part of liberalization policy and the result of opening "Upper Larsi" checkpoint. These people had to travel to Moscow to take Georgian visas, while they reside near to the northern border of Georgia. She stressed that these people have always had economic and trade interests with Georgia, they want to study at Georgian universities. The facilitated visa regime with certain political subjects of Russia will be launched in two weeks, reported CAUCASUS PRESS.
