Today the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian visited the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan where he took part in the opening ceremony of the international conference entitled “The intercultural communication through foreign languages training” held within the framework of the month of Francophonie in Armenia. Welcoming the conference’s attendees, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that various events, including academic conferences dedicated to the Francophonie have become a good tradition in Armenia. According to the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Francophonie contributes to the rapprochement of the peoples living in various continents sharing the same values with closer cultural cooperation. Minister Nalbandian noted that Armenia attaches great importance to its participation in the Francophonie which is a forum of intercultural dialogue as Armenia is sure that it gives opportunities for the further close mutual cognition and cooperation, the Press, information and public relations department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informs.
