The Azerbaijan community of Georgia is deeply concerned with the ideas voiced by Presidential Adviser for National Minority Issues Van Baiburt in his interview with Akhali Taoba newspaper of August 12, 2010, 1news.az reports. The Azerbaijanis of Georgia have addressed an open letter to President Mikheil Saakashvili calling for van Baiburt’s resignation. They underlined that the ideas voiced by Van Baibiurt are false and aimed at fueling interethnic hatred. They flatly deny the existence of separatist sentiments among the Azerbaijanis in Georgia and reaffirm support for territorial integrity of Georgia, reported "CAUCASUS PRESS".
