Bulgarian-based Armenian painter Arshak Nersisian’s exhibition opened in Sofia

 SOFIA, 2 JUNE, NOYAN TAPAN: On June 1, painter Arshak Nersisyan’s personal exhibition was opened at “Sredets” hall of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Culture within the framework of the “Year of Armenian Culture in Bulgaria” festival and by the initiative of the Armenian Embassy in Bulgaria on June 1. Ambassador Manasaryan introduced the Armenian painter and mentioned that Bulgarian art fans will have a chance to get acquainted with the Armenian painter’s works which go to show the friendship and cultural commonalities between both nations. Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Culture Dmitr Dereliyev noted that A. Nersisian’s works present a new cultural bridge between Bulgarians and Armenians. According to press release by the department of media and information of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attending the opening of the exhibition were Bulgarian members of parliament, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministries of Culture, Education and Science, accredited ambassadors in Bulgaria, diplomats and journalists.
