Bako Sahakyan convoked a working consultation dedicated to the issues of water supply in Stepanakert

On 26 February Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan convoked a working consultation dedicated to the issues of water supply in Stepanakert.
Minister of municipal engineering Karen Shahramanyan, Stepanakert mayor Suren Grigoryan and heads of corresponding structures delivered reports and speeches.
President Bako Sahakyan noted in his speech that issues related to the water supply both in the republic and in its regions were and remain at the spotlight of our authorities, which is conditioned by the great strategic significance of the problem for the country. Within this context solving water problem in capital Stepanakert is of particular importance and in this direction serious work was carried out in recent years. The President noted that since 2008 water pipeline of various diameters with the length of 333 kilometers had been built, and it is anticipated that by the end of this year around 88 percent of the city’s total population will be provided with 24 hour water supply. 
At the same time the Head of the State underlined that there are also substantial drawbacks and omissions related to the quality, efficiency and all-inclusiveness of the carried out work.  
President Sahakyan gave concrete instructions on proper realization of the planned activities and elimination of mistakes emphasizing the importance of establishing and maintaining well-defined volume and date schedules, ensuring appropriate quality water supply to the population.
Prime-minister Ara Haroutyunyan and other officials partook at the consultation.
