VivaCell-MTS became the General Sponsor of the “Hazaran Blbul” second national contest-festival

“Hazaran Blbul” contest of the children’s musicals is just another means of discovering talented young people and to encourage their creativity. The annual festival of musicals is organized for the second time now. The festival is the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, “Go forward, children” non-governmental organization and the Foundation for Support of Education in Culture. The festival will be held in two stages and will be concluded with gala-concert. The General Sponsor of the festival is VivaCell-MTS.
“Firebird (“Hazaran Blbul” in Armenian), the symbol of the contest, embodies the revival of the nature, beauty, justice, and harmony. This initiative is one of the means to see the world in real colors and make it brighter. The search for talents in children is in the interest of a civilized society and can bring wonderful results, when the made efforts are as consequent as they are in the Armenian folk tales to reach the mythical bird. The festival helps to find and to cherish the child living in each of us and make the world brighter,” says VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
This year 24 musicals staged by theatrical companies from the capital and the regions have been submitted for participation in the festival. After the shows in the first stage the contest juries has selected 10, which will be performed during the second stage from May 12 to 15. The selection committee is supposed to choose six of them upon the completion of the 3-day contest. The winners of the contest will appear in the gala-concerts planned for June 1 till June 5.
The first gala of the contest will take place at the Gyumri State Drama Theater after V. Atchemyan on June 1.
The second concert is planned for June 5, at the Yerevan State Theater of the Musical Comedy after H. Paronyan. The official opening of the festival took place on May 12, in the Hamazgayin State Theater.
