ANKARA, APRIL 19, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The
Turkish foreign ministry has developed a 10-point document,
which advises the officials on how to respond to questions about
the Armenian Genocide.
The document notes that it is necessary to attach
importance to the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations,
while laying stress on the establishment of a commission of
historians to examine the 1915 events.
The document says that Turkey recognizes the crimes
committed in those years, but those were only tragic pages of a
war and there was no coordinated and purposeful annihilation of
Christian Armenians, Yerkir reported.
