44 people died, while 7 others were injured in an air crash in Karelia. The Tu-134 plane, belonging to the RusAir airline, had taken off from Moscow and was due to land in the city of Petrozavodsk when it slammed into the highway just before midnight Monday.
The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under the article: violation of safety rules or operation of aircraft, resulting in the death of two or more persons.
