Official statement: War in Nagorno Karabakh, Azerbaijan undisguised offence on the frontline

“In the early morning of April 2 along the Southern, South-Eastern and North-Eastern directions of the Line of Contact the adversary initiated undisguised offensive employing artillery, armored vehicles and air forces” – the emergency press statement of the Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh Republic reads.
According to the statement, currently clashes on the frontline in Nagorno Karabakh continue as Azerbaijani armed forces started a belligerent offensive. The armed units of the NKR military forces are holding the defensive.
“Apart from the clashes on the frontline, the adversary shelled civilian inhabited areas and sites of military installations with artillery fire. Currently severe clashes continue on the entire length of the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan”, - the statement says.
The Ministry will give live updates of the unfolding situation.
