Deported Talish people call to help them to return to their native village and strengthen it again

On April 1 and 2 at night in northeastern parts of the line of contact in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone as a result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan mostly affected Talish, Mataghis and Tonashen villages whose residents have been evacuated and moved to Armenia or safer villages of Artsakh.  
 
On April 9 in Noyan Tapan News Agency press center the president for board of trustees of Talish foundation Melita Khalapyan informed that from 550 inhabitants of Talish around 300 migrated to Armenia, 90 of them where children and 30 were elderly people. 
According to her, as a result of Azerbaijani’s brutal actions all this families have lost everything which they had and now they need financial and psychological support of all Armenians. 
As she assures, Talish has a lot of powerful sons who are ready to return Talish and live there but first of all it is vital to reconstruct the village.
Member for board of trustees of Talish foundation Vova Baburyan reminds that Talish is the wound of all Armenians and an open gate towards Artsakh and Armenia. 
V. Baburyan claims that Talish people are ready to go back to their village if they have a secure roof and social amenities. “Our request is to help Talish people to return to their houses”.
Member for board of trustees of Talish foundation, the president of Patrida organization Eduard Polatov believes that this is a serious alarm for Armenians and for all the world about the threat that militants of Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) militant group and militants trained in Turkey may try to penetrate into Armenia therefore it is necessary to immediately stop the progress of these ferocious and cannibal groups.
 “Currently there are a lot of terrorists in Nakhichevan who are ready to attack”,- said E. Polanov emphasizing that these days Armenians should be very alert and attentive. 
Witness of the events, the head of Talish’s school Tanya Mezhunts said that on April 6 after evacuating the village she returned to Talish and saw that it is completely destroyed, left without electricity and there are no social amenities for living there.
12-year-old Vardan Khalapyan assures, he is not afraid and want to return his native village as soon as possible.
